Iona is located off the Isle of Mull on the West Coast of Scotland just 18 miles from the coast of Tiree.
Join us for a relaxed day trip from Tiree to the peaceful Isle of Iona. Enjoy the short crossing with coastal views, then spend time ashore exploring Iona Abbey, the heritage centre, and the island’s white sandy beaches at your own pace. On the way we’ll keep an eye out for seals and seabirds, and we can arrange a guided walk, packed lunches, or extra time ashore depending on tides and your preferences.
The perfect place to go for a truly relaxing visit and is ideal for anyone wanting to “get away from it all”. Once on the island , you have three hours to experience one of the oldest Christian religious centres in Western Europe. The abbey was a focal point for the spread of Christianity throughout Scotland and marks the foundation of a monastic community by St. Columba it remains a popular site of Christian pilgrimage today.
Your trip will take you via Fingal’s cave and passed the Tresnish Isles.
